The product
kohr.io is a wireless freezer monitor for restaurants, plants, and shops that already lose sleep over a warm walk-in. A small hub in the shop hears a sealed sensor in each box. The app keeps the history. You get a message when that box starts to warm — not after the ice cream is soup.
One indoor hub and sealed sensors. The hub is the box that talks to the internet. The sensor is the box that sits in the freezer. Customers never need the radio name “gateway.”
Each sensor writes a temperature on a regular beat and keeps its own log if the hub is down. The app shows the last reading, a short history, and a warning when product may be at risk.
A 4G hub is an extra-cost option when the shop has no usable Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Humidity, door, occupancy, and CO₂ sensors are sold when someone asks. Humidors and indoor-air kits are separate.
Food plants, restaurants, last-mile bags, churches and schools with kitchens, and the refrigeration shop that already has a key to the box. The pitch is a written log instead of a guess at 2 a.m.
It is not a legal measuring instrument. It is not a compressor tester. It does not text the cook about a short cycle or a slow drift. Those notes, when they exist, stay with the account and the service partner.
Temperature kit. A hub and sensors in the boxes. A cook or a manager can place those after a short walkthrough. This is the log and the warm-box warning.
Walk-in professional pack. Air sensor, door contact, and current clamps on the unit feed, the compressor, and the evap fans. That pack can flag an emerging problem while the product is still cold. It does not name the part. A refrigeration technician must install it. It is a service visit, not a carton you hang yourself.
If you want the machine flags, ask for the professional pack and book the tech. If you only want to know the ice cream is cold, order the temperature kit.
No. The sensor talks to the hub. The hub uses Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or 4G.
Fahrenheit or Celsius. There is a switch on the live page. English and Spanish pages describe the range in Fahrenheit. Other languages on the public site use Celsius.
The operating company is Republic Ice Cream, LP, in Myrtle Beach and Charleston, South Carolina. Write hello@kohr.io.
